A Mother’s Story
Who can resist this mother’s laugh? Creative and hardworking, she has gone through livelihood programs sponsored by FHM’s community partner, Families and Children for Empowerment and Development. She would happily do the nails or hair of any FHM donor. Family resources may be stretched, but for the Family Day Celebration this mother turned the donations from FHM families into enough delicious noodles to serve everyone. When the school needed to “lock up” the computers, she designed and stitched up covers that work well and look great!

A Family’s Story
The year their son started 4th grade with FHM, the mother of this family discovered she had cancer. Though currently in remission, she looks ahead. Who can blame her for wishing her daughter could also attend FHM so she could feel at peace, whatever is ahead? The couple delivered thanks and a challenge: “We are lucky there are people from (sponsor company) Navitaire who have chosen to support each child’s education rather than spend more on gimmicks and parties. The teachers have been able to inspire, mold, and lead their students to excel. As parents, we must guide our children to do their assignments and be their living examples of what we preach.”
