Cargill Sponsors Second School Launch
Thanks to Cargill sponsorship of the lead class, a second Food for Hungry Minds school will open in the Philippines this June. Touring the high tech Cargill animal nutrition plant, Teacher Candy saw real world science to engage our kids! Labs, computers, along with a focus on safety and good ethics, all go into producing feed in the agricultural Bulacan province.

The next FHM children will come from Bangcal, a new community where 3000 resettled families are starting life over, far from former schools and jobs.

 
     
 

Navitaire Employee Giving
Lead donor Navitaire’s 2005 year-end giving campaign included a new option. US employees could still give automatically to United Way. Additionally, all employees worldwide could now also donate to fund high school costs of their 25 FHM kids. The response?

  • Total giving increased over 450%
  • Employees participation shot up
  • Employees committed over $46,000 in 2006 payroll deductions
